Treatment plans are authorized in 6-month intervals. Treatment plans tend to require between 15-40 hours per week of ABA therapy. However, a minimum of 15 hours per week of availability is required for ABA therapy. Treatment is provided in-home. The range of hours per week is mainly driven by age, severity, and parents goals. Younger children who are not in school will often have more time during the day and also will likely benefit more significantly from 30-40 hours per week of intervention. The specific number of hours recommended for your child will depend on a comprehensive assessment of their current skills, and this recommendation is akin to a medical prescription.
